Here is a very good example of the HMV Model 130 Table Gramophone from about 1931, this one in a mahogany case. The model 130 is probably the best table gramophone produced by HMV at the end of the period for making hand-wound acoustic machines.
This example has the excellent double spring No.32 motor, a 12" turn-table. The same sound-box and motor were used in the larger cabinet models of the period, namely the 145, 157 and even the highly rated model 163. The gramophone plays particularly well using the popular No.5A sound-box and there is an auto-brake that actually works
The mahogany case is in good condition and the top has been re-french-polished to remove historical marks. the top. The gold cloth behind the front grille has been replaced
This gramophone can be collected from my workshop in Cornwall or I could deliver at a reasonable distance from TR8 5SE. In general wooden cabinets do not travel safely by courier. A special delivery could be organised for about £100
